He was predeceased by: his wife Debbie Sutherland; his parents, T. J. Sutherland and Virginia Sutherland; and his brother Wayne Sutherland. He is survived by: his children, Roger Sutherland, Jeff Sutherland (Danielle) and Heidi Cawthorne (Matt); his grandchildren, Tyler, Brent, Parker, Izzy and Dylan; and his siblings, Kenneth Sutherland, Carroll Sutherland (Sandy), Barbara Russell, Harold Dean Sutherland (Ann) and Debbie Creed (DeWayne).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or your favorite charity.
