With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Arthur Sokol of Montgomery, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 16, 2025 at the age of 39. He was predeceased by: his father Richard Thrower Sokol; and his grandparents, James Allen DeRamus (Pawsee) and Ruth Acreman DeRamus (Mammaw). He is survived by: his mother Karon Lynn DeRamus (Richard); his wife Kelli Lee Sokol; his children, Justin Allen McVay Sokol and Ariel Elizabeth Lynn Sokol; his siblings, Joshua Posey, Katie Faye Imes and Heather Hobson (Thomas); his grandmother Barbara Bryant; and his mother-in-law Brenda Lee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at the same location.
