Peggy Morris Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Wood Morris, born in Montgomery, Alabama, on May 30, 1931. She passed away at home on August 5, 2024, at the age of 93.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Wood and Lucile Wood; her husband Sam Morris; her sibling Bobbie Nell Ryals. Also, her youngest daughter, Samella Morris Forte.

She is survived by her daughter, Hope Hull (Sonny). Her granddaughters Summer Hull Zulanas and Heaven Foster Brewer. Her great grandchildren Carter Zulanas, Sam Zulanas, and Bella Brewer. Her brother, Richard "Rick" (Peggy) Wood.

Peggy was a patrol woman in the early 1950s. Along with her husband she worked at Patterson Field and Cramton Bowl for over 25 years. She also worked with her husband at Homerun CB Shop where she was known as SweetThing.

Peggy enjoyed Facebook where she posted daily and interacted with many friends. She was an avid Alabama football fan.

The family will be accepting visitors at 10:00 AM at Leak Memory 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama. Graveside services at Greenwood Cemetery at 11:00 am.
