He was predeceased by: his parents, Berrey Oscar and Betty Green Morgan of Pike Road; his former wife Martha Sue Lowrey Morgan of Pike Road; and his siblings-in-law, Laura Lowrey and Wade Ferguson.
He is survived by: his wife Lynis Cox Morgan of Pike Road; his son Edward Alan Morgan of Columbus; his stepchildren, Aaron Cox (Ashley) of Marietta and Kim Moates (Pat) of Enterprise, Alabama; his stepgrandchildren, Harris, Mason, Marlee, Morgan Moates, Connor, Reagan and Josh Cox; his siblings, Berrylynn Freeby (Dwayne), Joyce Hultquist (Ray), Dianne Freeman (Russ), Marie Spealman (Roger) and Michael Morgan (Kay); his nieces and nephews, Bobby Hobbs, Steven Hobbs, Sid Hultquist, Teresa Novoa, Debbie Munoz, Kenny Hultquist, Sonda McEver, Tracy Nixon, Tish Barzyk, Katherine Morgan, Amanda Davis and Ted Spealman; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Ferguson, Sandra Smith (David), William Stephen Lowrey, Jack Cox, David White (Sylvia) and Alex White (Lisa). He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Memorial contributions may be made to the endowment of a scholarship he and Marty established at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky or to St. James Church.
