He was predeceased by: his parent Lamon Owens; his grandparents, L. K., Ruthie Bell Owens, Lawrence and Cora Mae Eggers; and his mother Wila Dean Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Penny; his children, Todd Owens (Amy), Morgan Hollingshead (Chris) and Ashley Groce (Jacob); his grandson Jackson Hollingshead; his siblings, Kenny Owens (Edna) and Teresa Sides; his brother-in-law Thomas McLendon; and his sons, Steven Champion and Kevin Champion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Leak Memory Chapel (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
