With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Batley of Montgomery, Alabama, born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2024 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her husband Turner Gaines Batley, Jr.; her parents, Ida Pearson Wilson and Robert Wilson; and her siblings, Harris Lee Wilson, Mortimore Kuykendall, Mary Alexander and Nettie Wade.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Mathews and Dawn Quist (Bert); her grandchildren, Maggie Wingo (Justin), Pearson McShane (Chris) and Annie Gaines Mathews; and her nephews, Jack (Alice) and Jerry Wade. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Margaret loved flowers but a Memorial Contribution can also be made to Whitfield or Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
