It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maerene Wise of Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Maerene Wise to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Horace and Lottie Mae Owens; her brothers, Charles Owens and Rex Owens; her daughter Rhonda Blitz; and her son-in-law Dan Blitz.

She is survived by: her son Gary Wise (Michele); her grandchildren, Sam Blitz (Jessica), Alexandra Wise Smith (Bud) and Walker Wise (Bailey); and her great grandchildren, Brooks Blitz, Barnes Blitz, Ann Pelham Smith and Charlie Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Leak Memory Chapel (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109). A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109).
