She is survived by: her children, Hugh Browning Thornton Jr. (Cecelia) of Birmingham and Katherine Thornton Weller (Dennis) of Raleigh; her stepchildren, Allyn Mabson Thames Jr. (Katie) and Gray Thames Thuston (Lee) of Birmingham, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Tere Thornton Badham (Walker), Hugh Browning Thornton III (Hannah) of Birmingham, Alabama, Samantha Katherine Beachum, Hunter Scott Beachum, Henry Browning Beachum, Allyn Mabson Thames III (Ashley) of Auburn, Christopher Rutland Thames (Adrienne) of Birmingham, Thames Thuston Schoenvogel (Robert) of Birmingham and William Lee Thuston Jr. (Ginger) of Birmingham. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
