He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sumiko Tanikawa Plumley; his daughter June Smith (John); his grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Jessica Gibbens (Kevin) and Joshua Smith (Chasiti); his great grandchildren, Kelvin Gray, Jr., Noah Gibbens and Asiia Smith; and his brothers, Billy Plumley and Allen Plumley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Montgomery Humane Society.
