She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Ratcliffe and Marguerite Evans Ratcliffe; and her sister Priscilla R. Daughtry. She is survived by: her husband Danny Roger Herndon Sr.; and her children, Danny R. Herndon Jr. and Angela D. Herndon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the Herndon family asks that donations be made to the Montgomery Humane Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
