She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Edgar Brown and Mamie Lo Johnson; her husband John Griffin, Jr.; her son Randy Griffin; and her siblings, Barbara Cosby and Ed Brown.

She is survived by: her son Tom Griffin (Rhonda) of Birmingham; and her niece Debbie Pollard of Eclectic. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
