With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Durwood Bruce Moody of Montgomery, Alabama, born in Greenville, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 21, 2024 at the age of 76. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Durwood Bruce may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Eleanor Thaggard Moody and Calvin Claude Moody; his sister Mildred Ann Moody Holladay; and his significant other William Thomas Smith. He is survived by: his niece Sarah Ann Holladay; his great-nephew Atlas Mark Conatser; and his caregiver Casey Gay. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.
