He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Motes and Ruth Helen Wallace Motes; his son Danny Motes; and his siblings, Betty Faye Blythe, Susie Gail Terry, Ralph Motes and Ricky Motes.
He is survived by: his wife Patti Motes; his children, Dale Motes and Jeanise Frost (James); his grandchildren, Jill Browning (Steve), Janet Butler (Jeremy), James Frost (Heather), Ramond Delany and Jeffrey Delany; his great grandchildren, Kayla Butler, Trevor Butler, Cam Frost, Clay Frost, John Delany, Landon Delany, Riley Delany, Georgia Delany, Davely Delany, Aubrey Delany and Rose Emery; and his siblings, Annie Ruth Rust, Bob Motes, Benny Motes, Frankie English (Rod), Benjamin "June Bug" Motes, Dimples Kanipe (Shorty), Linda Motes and Joyce Motes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Enon Baptist Church (4994 Co Rd 18, Montevallo, AL 35115). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the same location.
