With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert James Horton (Montevallo, Alabama), born in Columbiana, Alabama, who passed away on September 27, 2024 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Horton and Carrie Horton; and his siblings, Margaret Lacey, Cathleen Lacey, Alvin, Charles and Thomas Horton.

He is survived by: his wife Geneva Horton; his children, Robert Andre' Horton (Melody) of Trussville and Brandi Nicole Anderson (Robert) of Montevallo, Alabama; his grandsons, Aiden Horton, Athaniel Horton, Jasiri Anderson, Austin Horton and Akili Anderson; and his sisters, Janice Holland of Baltimore and Mary Dean Scott of Huntersville. He is also survived by seven brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
