He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Joan Richardson King. He is survived by: his children, Tinya Wetzel (Don Wetzel) of Birmingham and Tony King (Karen King) of Dothan; his grandchildren, Adam King of Birmingham, Lauren (Jonathan Anderson), Eli (Anna King), Isaac (Lindsey King), Cade Wetzel of Nashville, Tenn., Colby Wetzel of Birmingham, Noah King of Bethesda, Micah (Catherine King), ChapelAnn Wetzel of Birmingham, Samuel King of Dothan, Benjamin King of Dothan and Hannah King of Dothan; and his great grandchildren, Jupiter King, Logan Anderson, Hudson Anderson and Wyatt King. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A reception will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Pelham (2867 Pelham Pkwy, Pelham, AL 35124). A burial will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Alabama National Cemetery of Montevallo (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Pelham in Wayne's memory.
