He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford J. Steward and Iris M. Steward; and his wife Anne Scott McMillan Steward. He is survived by: his children, Susan McClellan Steward (Emily) of Long Beach, CA, Elizabeth Steward Knight (Mike) of Huntsville and Robert E. Steward, Jr. (Hayden) of Tuscaloosa. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (200 Whetstone St, Monroeville, AL 36460). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monroe County Public Library.
