She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Earl Brown and Edna Lenora Harrison Brown; her husband Billy Mack Fails; her grandson Russell Fails; and her siblings, Eloise Fails, Ann Janes, Sue Sheehan, Edna Earl Chandler, Ronald Brown and Andrew Earl "Buddy" Brown, Jr..

She is survived by: her sons, Billy Wayne Fails (Belinda) of Brewton and Steve Fails (Shelby) of Monroeville; and her siblings, Donnie Brown (Ellen) of Monroeville and Marilyn Lassiter of Monroeville. She is also survived by four grandsons.
