He was predeceased by: his grandmother Reverend Beulah Brady; and his parents, Lampkin Holmes, Sr. and Katie Lucille. He is survived by: his brother John; his wife Barbara; and his brothers, Pastor Samuel Holmes (Tilde) of Jacksonville Illinois, Lampkin Holmes, Jr. (Robbie) and Elder James Holmes (Gladys) of Houston Texas.
