He was predeceased by: his son Derrick Deshon Richardson; and his siblings, Henry Richardson, Bobby Richardson, James Richardson, Woodrow Richardson, Bubba Tunstall, Lorene Richardson, Bernice Jones, Alice Thomas and Dorothy Richardson.
He is survived by: his children, Burl Lee Richardson, Sr., Tracey Richardson, Tarranda Richardson (Mike Johnson), Cassandra Richardson (Tariano) of Mobile, AL, Kenya Perez of Decatur, AL, Phyllis Nettles of Cleveland, OH, Carlotta Nicholson (Randal), Shannon Richardson (Emma), Eddie Irene Dale, Terry Knight (Katrina) of Calera, AL and Brandon Richardson of Monroeville, AL; and his sisters, Katherine Richardson (Cleveland) of Monroeville, AL, Mary Riley (Van) of Monroeville, AL and Bessie Salter of Monroeville, AL. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two nephews who were raised like children: "Uncle Marvin" and "Uncle Gene;" a host of other loved nieces and nephews, and many friends.
