She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus L Miles and Emma Grace Miles; and her brothers, Rufus Leander Miles Jr., Rodney Heywood Miles, William Henry Miles and Howard Kenneth Miles.

She is survived by: her children, Fredrick M. Nichols, Lydia Nichols Moore (Joe) and Jeffry M. Nichols (Joann); her grandchildren, Maleesa Michel Redish (Nate), Michel Nicole "Niki" Sims (Chris), Emma Kayli Quinley (Nick), Francis Jerrold "Jerry" McKean, III (Candi), Nicholas Eugene Barry (Tasha), Itra Marie "Cricket" Mansfield Clevenger (Nicky), Ashley Grace Nichols and Jeffry Alexander "Alex" Nichols (Reagan); her great grandchildren, Kaiden, Ever Redish, Khail Bing, Kai Sims, Jase Quinley, Frances Grace McKean and Bradyn Barry; her siblings, Frances Gautier (Earl), Charles Frederick Miles and James Edward Miles (Adell); and her husband Nick C. Nichols. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews and numerous friends.
