He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Cornelius and Marietta S. Cornelius. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy W. Cornelius; his brothers, Walter D. Cornelius and Earl L. Cornelius; his sons, Warren I. Cornelius Jr (Ted), Earl L. Cornelius and Robert Cornelius (Rob); his grandson Steve Walston; his daughter Mary C. Richardson (Joe); and also, Walter David Cornelius and Charles Cornelius. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 3 great - great grandchildren.
