She was predeceased by: her husband Roland T. Schmitz; and her parents, Russell Tyus and Audalene Tyus. She is survived by: her children, Denny Schmitz, Paula Cardenas and Nicholas Schmitz; her grandchildren, Sydney Cardenas and Olivia Cardenas; and her siblings, Robert Tyus (Nedra) and Linda Wallis. She is also survived by other relatives, family and friends.
