Virginia Egan Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2021, at the age of 97, Virginia Egan (Mobile, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband William Francis Egan, Sr.; her parents, Wilson Joseph Oberkirch, Sr. and Sadie Watson Oberkirch; her siblings, Wilson Joseph Oberkirch, Jr., Gladys Oberkirch Woolsey and James Ross Oberkirch, Sr.; and her grandson Wilson Roy Johnston, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Virginia Egan Johnston, Kathleen Egan Yawn (Bunt), Margaret Egan Koroschetz, William Francis Egan, Jr., Brian Patrick Egan (Kim) and Thomas Michael Egan (Karen); her sisters, June Oberkirch Schilling and Sadie Oberkirch Ardoyno (Burt); her sister-in-law Francis Laurence Oberkirch; and her grandchildren, Zac Koroschetz (Anna), Stacey Yawn Denham (Trevor), Jonathan Koroschetz (Danielle), Angie Yawn, Jeremy Koroschetz, Heather Egan O'Gorman (Matthew), Lydia Egan, Lauren Egan and Michael Egan. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and other beloved family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
