She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Portis, and Hattie Portis, Sr.; her brothers, Rev. Melvin Smith, Sr. and Deacon Jessie Portis, Jr.; her children, Vanita Ann Wigfall (Jamal), Victoria Rosemary Smith and Michael Anthony Smith, Jr.; her grandsons, Nicholas and Jamal; her sisters, Bishop Janice Morrissette (late Donald), Deaconess Myra Brown (Claude) and Lauretta Files (Apostle Thomas); and her sisters-in-law, Opeal Smith and Cynthia Portis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
