She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley William Myrick and Leona Artie Jemison; her husband James Lloyd Shackelford; and her siblings, Semmie Brown, Eula Lee Horn, Shirley Ann Sprehe and Mastin Oliver Myrick.

She is survived by: her daughters, Gilda Raue Walker (Ronald), Gail Nannette Silvester (Allan) and Tonya Joyce Shackelford; her adoptive son Luverne Bullard; her grandsons, Ronald Spence Walker, Daniel Shane Walker, Gregory Allan Silvester, Brandon Scott Williams, Nico Scarpato and Anthony Scarpato; her great grandchildren, William Spence Walker, Blakely Elizabeth Walker, Hattie Marie Silvester, Tate Barnes Silvester and Brett Allan Silvester; and her sister Earline Fornea. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
