He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Mott; his parents, Lee Mott and Christine Mott; his brother Robert Lee Mott; and his brother-in-law Walter "Sonny" Pilot.
He is survived by: his brother Raymond C. Mott (Cynthia Byrd Mott); and his sisters-in-law, Darthoy Cook Mott and Grace Giles Pilot. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
