He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Kominek and Stella Kominek; his wife Laura Dillard Kominek; his brother Jerry; his sister-in-law Peggy Kominek; his sisters, Stella Reeves and Mildred; and his siblings-in-law, Vaughn Frederick, Elizabeth and Joe Otto.
He is survived by: his children, David Kominek (Karan) of Mobile, AL, Kaye Roberts Wilhelm (Mike) of Charleston, SC and Leigh Ann Dismukes (Edward) of Mobile, AL; his grandchildren, Alan Kominek, Melissa Williams (Kevin), Chelsea Guice (Dylan), Katelan Roberts, Jonathan Dismukes (Sydney), Susan Hooper (William) and Andrew Dismukes; and his great grandchildren, Blythe, Sloane, Lydia, Sara, Cullan, Landry, Sissy and Drake. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
