He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Buckalew; his son Christopher Ray Buckalew; and his brothers, Mike Buckalew, Jeff Buckalew and Kerry Buckalew.
He is survived by: his mother Annie Ray Henderson; and his siblings, Mary Sue Monk, Shirley Reed (Donald), Bruce Monk (Lesha), Charles Monk, Shane Buckalew and Cathi Gunter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church.
