She was predeceased by: her father James D. Taylor; her husband Maurice Clark Whitfield; and her sister Elizabeth Taylor Bonifay. She is survived by: her mother Flora Hitt; her sister Rebecca Taylor Nye; her son James Whitfield (Debbie Whitfield); her granddaughters, Rachel Whitfield (Brandon Kidd) and Cheryl Whitfield; her son John Whitfield (Nicki Whitfield); her grandchildren, Caleb Whitfield (Camile Whitfield), Kaitlin Whitfield and Chloe Whitfield; her daughter Susan Whitfield (Sprecken); her granddaughter Lauren (Sprecken); and her great grandchildren, Addison Kidd, Tristan Whitfield, Jordan Whitfield, Jake Whitfield and Lexie Gellinger. She is also survived by her family and her dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and cousin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Radney Funeral Home (3155 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36606). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In Pat's later years she preferred private duty care for homebound Alzheimer's patients.
