With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mattie Rose Crain in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on March 28, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Thomas and Lucille Schilling Thomas; her husband Billy Eugene Crain; and her siblings, Sarah Seale and Charlie Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, David Crain (Toni) and Lisa Mason (Jason); her grandchildren, Daniel, Leslie, Hayley and Raleigh; and her sisters, Bronis Thomas, Trulia Kidd, Lynne Freeman (Randall), Darlene Davis (Bryce) and Wilma Dee Miley (Terry).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Parkway Baptist Church (17284 MS-67, Biloxi, MS 39532). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery (400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39531).
