With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ridgeway (Mobile, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ridgeway to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Sykes and Elvira Rigney Sykes; her husband Thomas E. Ridgeway; her sons, Clifford E. Ridgeway and Thomas S. Ridgeway; her daughter-in-law Annette Ridgeway; and her pet Chipper.
She is survived by: her children, Robert W. Ridgeway (Laura) and Teresa Ridgeway; her grandchildren, Leslie Forsman (Jonathan), Carrie Dauphin (Ray Charles), Amy Wilson (Scott) and Jennifer Cooley (Bryan); her great grandchildren, Savanah Johnston, Emily Blackwell (Joey), Matthew Dauphin (Laura), Benjamin Dauphin, Sarah Forsman, Parker Wilson (Savana), Elliot Cooley and Charles Cooley; and her great great grandchildren, Jacquelyn Parmer and Landree Jo Wilson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Mercy Ships - two charities that she supported monthly for many years.
