She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Ellis and Kathryn Ellis. She is survived by: her husband Joseph E. Hossley; her children, Kathryn Irby (John) of Mobile, Al Deane (Nancy) of Mobile and Richard Hossley (Macon) of Greenwood; her stepsons, Adam Hossley (Margaret) of Mobile and Robert Hossley of Mobile; her grandchildren, Jackson Irby, Logan Deane, Baylor, Benton, Carter, Kelly Kate Hossley and Elizabeth Hossley; and her sister Suzanne Ellis Colbert (Luke) of Annapolis. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mimsy's memory may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 4051 Old Shell Road, Mobile, AL 36608, Wilmer Hall, 3811 Old Shell Road, Mobile, AL 36608, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
