He was predeceased by: his son John "Paul" Rogers, Jr.; his mother Rosa Lee Ryan; his daughter Susan Maree Clark (Steven); his siblings, Pauline Goleman, Joyce Johnson, Shirley Mae Knight and Leo Leslie Ryan; and his great grandchild Cade Miller Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughter Vicki Lynne Johnson (Chris); his wife June LaForce; his sister Matilda Knight; his grandchildren, Kristy Clark Wheeler, Todd Clark (Courtney), Brandon Johnson (Lindsey), Melissa Desselle (Charles), Ashton Reus (DJ), Amber Huddleston (Adam) and Morgan McDonald (Brandon); his friend Sandy Titus; and his great grandchildren, Baylee, Bryson Wheeler, Tucker Desselle, Ainsley, Ada Quinn Clark, Blakeley, Saylor Johnson, Lauren, Landon Joiner, Joel Lindsey and Barrett McDonald.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home (6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
