He was predeceased by: his wife Reba Pierce Botter; his daughters, Reba and Rita Botter; his granddaughter Oliva Kathryn Smith; and his brother Paul E. Botter, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, John W. Botter, III (Mona) and Kathryn Botter Smith (Greg); his granddaughters, Hannah Frederic, Libby Smith and Katelyn Botter; his great grandchild Sawyer Frederic; and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Miller and Margaret Rose Beech. He is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Praise Family Church (2605 Dawes Rd, Mobile, AL 36695). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at the Pine Crest Cemetery West (1599 Snow Rd, Mobile, AL 36695).
