He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Curtis York and Anyce McVay York; his wife Mary Van Houten York; and his sisters, Dora Alice Outlaw and Rebecca O'Brien.
He is survived by: his children, Clifford York (Margaret), Jay and Mary Austin York Hudson (Bo). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Mary York Nursing Scholarship Fund at Spring Hill College, 4000 Dauphin St., Mobile, AL 36608.
