He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollin Carter Broughton, Sr. and Eileen Scanlon Broughton; and his brother Rollin Carter Broughton, Jr. (Jim). He is survived by: his significant other Francine; his significant other's daughter Patty McIntosh Howell (David); his siblings, Dr. Jet Broughton (DiGi), Mary Broughton McLendon and Annette Broughton Robinson (Paul); his cousin Clara Ann Brunk; and also, Lilly and Elizabeth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.

In lieu flowers, the family requests donations to be made to The Society of Former.
