It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Yates Thompson in Mobile, Alabama, born in Prentiss, Mississippi, who passed away on March 7, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Yates and Lois Boleware Yates; her former husband David Meeks Thompson, Jr.; and her siblings, Joe Keith Yates, Doris Yates Stafford and Kenneth Yates.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Thompson Haag (Eric) of Tampa, FL and Becky Thompson Mundle (Tom) of Mandeville, LA; her grandchildren, Thomas Mundle (Madisyn), Chase Mundle (Brooke), Haley Mundle, Savannah Haag and Caroline Haag; her great grandchild Avery Claire Mundle; her siblings, Larue Yates, Gerald Yates, Hilda Hesler and Hazel Akers; and her sons, Tom Mundle and Eric Haag.
