He is survived by: his children, Diane Blackwell Gremse (David) and Dr. Keith Gordon Blackwell (Mary Ann) of Spanish Fort; his grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Gremse Adair (Cory) of Mobile, Albert Gremse of Fairhope, Chris Gremse (Toni) of Las Vegas, NV, Amy Blackwell, Jonathan Blackwell of Summerdale and Matthew Blackwell (Svava) of Reykjavik, Iceland; and his great grandchildren, Gordon "Finn" Adair of Mobile, James Adair of Mobile and Elise Adair of Mobile.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery (6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619). Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Friends During Church. A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dauphin Way United Methodist Church (1507 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36604).
