She was predeceased by: her husband Fred L. Pope, Sr.; her parents, Gladys Marie Stoutamire and James Stoutamire, Sr.; her son Lee A. Pope; her grandson Paris Pope; and her siblings, Doris Bassett, James Stoutamire, Jr., Ervin Stoutamire, Alvin Stoutamire, Charles Stoutamire and Le'vernon Stoutamire.
She is survived by: her children, Freda Maria Kennell (Kevin), Verona A. Washington (Willie), Gloria J. McCovery, Sr. (Kenneth) and Fred L. Pope, Jr. (Barbara); and her grandchildren, Frederick C. Richard, Maria A. Simpson (Tony), Maurice D. Pope, Melissa A. Pope, Desire Phillips, Kendria S. McCovery, Kenneth S. McCovery, Jr. (Le'Kendrick Lewis) and Yasmine Pope. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins.
