He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Moore Baker and Haywood Kingsley Baker, Sr.; and his sister Emily Baker Zimlich. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Poates Baker; his sons, George Robert Baker, Jr. (Melissa) of Mobile and Stephen Moore Baker (Eleanor) of Mobile; his grandchildren, Eleanor "Ellie" Elizabeth Baker, Robert Hayes Baker, Stephen "Buck" Moore Baker, Jr., Hallie Inge Baker and George Kingsley Baker; and his brother Haywood Kingsley Baker, Jr. (Lynn) of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Pine Crest Cemetery (1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (4051 Old Shell Rd, Mobile, AL 36608). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
