He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd W. Small Sr. and Irene J. Small. He is survived by: his sisters, Eleanor and Joan; his wife Diane Emerson Small; his children, Susan Townsend (Randy), Stephen Small (Bonnie), Sherry Small-Lee, Shaun Small (Sarah) and Sonia Small-Wells; and his grandchildren, Nathan Townsend, Neal Townsend, Nichole Townsend, Matthew Small, Megan Small, Marshall Small, Zane Lee, Ryan Lee, Kaleb Lee, Katie Lee, Keegan Wells and Olivia Small.

In lieu of Flowers, the family asks that you make donations to either the Alzheimer's Association, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in his memory.
