She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Dickens and Erna Dickens; her son Michael Newell; her children-in-law, Shelia Newell and Wendell Mims; and her grandson Mikkel Newell. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
