With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna Carpenter Schermer of Mobile, Alabama, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on April 20, 2025 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donna Carpenter Schermer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Marvin R. Carpenter; and her brother Marvin E. "Marvie" Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Philip Schermer, Jr.; her sons, Jason Biggs (Mary), Michael Biggs (Wendy) and Philip "Tres" Schermer, III; her mother Carolyn Carpenter; her sisters, Patricia Smith and Susan Barter (Michael); her sisters-in-law, Susan Schermer Ross and Judy Vonada (Michael); her grandchildren, Dallas Millevoi (Michael), Patton Biggs, Audrey Biggs and Michael Roland Biggs; her nieces, Lindsay Barter, Lauren Barter and Trish Shaffer; and her nephew Brandon Ross (Roshini).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pine Crest Funeral Home (1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Association, or your charity of choice.
