He was predeceased by: his parents, David G. Holmes and Rosalyn Connor Holmes; and his father-in-law Russell James Turberville. He is survived by: his wife Susan Dean Turberville Holmes of Mobile, AL; his children, Audrey Varghese (Vijoy) of Montgomery, AL and Jacob Holmes (Amber) of Troy, AL; his grandchildren, Walter Stotts Holmes, Byron Russell Holmes and Hannah Barrett Varghese; his siblings, Brent D. Holmes of Brundidge, AL and Heather Alexander (Rex) of Commerce City, CO; his sister-in-law Marianne Turberville Wilkins of Fairhope, AL; and his mother-in-law Susan M. Turberville of Fairhope, AL. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
