She was predeceased by: her siblings, Frank (Hazel), Stephen (Lilian), Anna (Harry Cuca), Daniel (Mabel), Rose (Andy Bassuk), Ignaty, Eli and Adam; her parents, Conrad and Maria Smarsh (Kityk); and her husband Donald A. Powell.
She is survived by: her sons, Daroah (Tracy) of Mobile, AL and Donald Powell (Laura) of Mobile, AL; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Katherine, Anya and Konrad; and her nieces and nephews, Michael Smarsh, John Smarsh (Carla), Mary Reetz (Rob), Gregory Cuca (Claudia), Deborah Brooks, Sherre Mendrala (Ed), Tammy, Donna Smarsh, James Bassuk (Deborah), Susan Meier (Danny), Jewell and John Alesi.
