He was predeceased by: his parents, John Orion and Katherine Davis Watson; his wife Betty Smith Watson; his son Allan Dale Watson; and his siblings, Cora Baum (Ed), Eugene Watson (Jimmie), James Watson (Barbara), Paul Watson, Billy Watson and Tommy Watson.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Watson, Robin Webb (Bud) and Julie Baxter (Eddie); his grandchildren, Logan and Danielle Baxter; his siblings, Katherine Harris, Glen Watson, Douglas Watson and Danny Watson; and his sisters-in-law, Levert and Sue Watson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
