He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hicks and Bettie Hicks; and his brother Homer Cecil Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hicks; his children, Dwight Hicks of Aquilla, AL and Melita Booker (Roger) of Livingston, AL; his grandsons, Corporal Roger Lee Booker, Jr. and Corporal John Patrick Booker of Camp Lejeune; and his nephews, Cecil Hicks (Melody) and Casey Hicks (Erin) of Laurel.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be made to the York Rotary Club Truel D. Hicks Accounting Scholarship Fund at the University of West Alabama, Attention: Lynda Harwell, Station 6, Livingston, Alabama 35470.
