Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Luther McIlwain of Millry, Alabama, born in Waynesboro, Mississippi, who passed away at the age of 75, on August 25, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer McIlwain and Lennie Jones McIlwain; and his son Keith McIlwain. He is survived by: his wife Rose Casey McIlwain of Millry, AL; his son John Robertson "Robb" McIlwain (Lydia) of Berlin, Germany; his stepchildren, Judson Atchison (Baillie) of Mobile, AL and Alisha Atchison Waite (Jimmy) of Millry, AL; and his siblings, Willard McIlwain (Leann) of Millry, AL, Arthur McIlwain (Connie) of Millry, AL, Teddy McIlwain of Millry, AL, Marvie Giles (Gene) of Millry, AL, Doris Reeves (Marthell) of Waynesboro, MS and Louise Wise (Todd) of Waynesboro, MS. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
The family asks everyone in attendance to please wear a mask and practice social distancing for the protection of everyone involved.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Bethel Cemetery fund.
