She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Tate and Florrie Tate; her husband J. W. Ford; her daughter Mildred Nowell; her sons-in-law, J. W. Nowell and Jimmy Stewart; her siblings, Thomas Tate, James Tate, Leonard Tate, Florene Dearman, Rosa Lee Peterson and Lois McCary; and her grandson Jim Stewart.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ann Stewart of Millry, AL and Kim Dyess (Keith) of Millry, AL; her sister Lora Mitchell (Steve) of Bigbee, AL; her grandchildren, Marty Allday (Amanda) of Millry, AL, Carmen Butts (Carlton) of Frankville, AL, Nichole Phillips (Neil) of Madson, AL, Jack Stewart (Brooke) of Millry, AL and Kara Dearman (Todd) of Millry, AL; and her great grandchildren, Brennon, Brayden, Ashleigh, Alicia, Andrea, Allison, Autumn, Dylan, Victoria, Sydney, Jordan, Madison, Taylor, Karston, Clarke, Lillyanne, Everitt and William. She is also survived by 12 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Pine Tree Cemetery (67 Pinetree Rd, Millry, AL 36558).
