He is survived by: his wife Earnestine Gilley Carpenter; his children, Donald "Derrick" Carpenter (Jurelleen) and Lisa Pruitt Misty (Jeff); his grandchildren, Portia, Skye, Chance, Blake, Blane, Michael, Payton, Tanner and Emmet; and his great grandchildren, Tucker and Emeri.
